The chairs are ready for visitors. The fire pit prepared for the fire. Each pot and shelf and plant stand back in its place. Even the table waits expectantly for tea cups to appear. It is sight to behold, welcome to the eyes.
The begonias in the wrought iron scallops sit beside the blue house with the white trim. Ah, yes, our freshly painted blue house with the oh-so-white trim. And who else joins us, but
the peony rose with three opening buds by the sun dial. Our constant friend, the peony rose.

The begonias in the iron planter look lovely and so do the peonies.
*Sigh* The peony rose is just gorgeous! -Jackie
I always enjoy a welcoming sitting area in the garden and yours looks so heavenly! I'll bet the temps are wonderful for enjoying the outdoors right now. That's the one lovely thing about So. Cal... the winters.
Love your Peony Rose! It resembles 'Parade' a little...
Your home looks so welcoming on the outside. What a great place to sit and enjoy the garden.
Hi Mary, we will never tire of the peony rose, as I am sure you never will either. The buds are such a lovely darker contrast to the bloom. Your house looks great, those geraniums in the wire window box are the perfect touch. The chairs look so inviting too. I think we have a similar firepit thingey, love it! :-)

Hi Mary Delle, You have a lovely name. :-) Thank you for visiting me recently. Isn't it nice to have projects and isn't it nice when they're finished? Lovely peony rose.
Hi Mary Delle,
It looks inviting and you have created a wonderful seating area here. The little begonia planter is a feast for the eyes... I am glad you survived and your plants survived the painters. When we first moved into our home, we had our roof re-done and they clobbbered a bunch of stuff. I am still finding nails!

The last photo of the rose in bloom with the darker buds is beautiful~~Entertaining in Southern California at this time of year must be wonderful! No mosquitoes! Have fun. gail
Mary Delle, love the wicker around your fire pit, a most inviting setting. The fire pit always stops my hubby in his tracks, but we have so much going on, so many places to stop and enjoy in our walks about the garden, I think I'll just gaze upon yours. ;)
Very inviting! Lovely begonias and holder! Congratulations on your house project completion. It is so taxing to have to go thru having so many strangers about but good to have it done at the same time. I like the colors.
